Emerging Singer-Songwriter Gracie Abrams Releases Latest Single “Feels Like”

Gracie Abrams is easily the latest singer-songwriter of our generation, with her incredible melodies and vulnerable lyrics. Originally from Los Angeles, California, Gracie has been writing out her deepest feelings in her journal since she penned her first song at the age of eight. Heavily inspired by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Phoebe Bridgers, and Taylor Swift, Gracie loves drawing from a place of vulnerability in her songwriting while remaining independent in developing her personal sound.

Her debut project, minor, was released in the summer of 2020 and perfectly captures the growing pains of your first heartbreak and journey to adulthood. Her song “I miss you, I’m sorry” combines gorgeous melodies, powerful storytelling, and a cinematic backing track. The rich descriptions in her lyrics combined with her warm vocals make you feel as if you are watching a movie, entranced by all of the compelling storylines. Her song “21” is a true testament to her songwriting abilities, which seamlessly combines complex storytelling with descriptive lyricism and cohesive production. After a stunning release of her debut project, she has continued to challenge the status quo for female songwriters and beautifully share her raw feelings with her listeners.

One thing Gracie loves is getting to connect with her fans. While embarking on her debut tour, she wants to “create a space where they can be honest and vulnerable about the way that they are feeling.” After two years of singing in her bedroom, she is finally able to connect with her fans face to face and see their emotional responses to her latest releases. Gracie wants to hold space for those open conversations, and offer her fans a chance to share what they’re all going through. This intimate connection with her fans while touring has further inspired her next body of work, and we can’t wait to see what her upcoming releases will be. In her latest releases, Gracie has effortlessly described the experiences of close friendship, blossoming relationships, and enjoying life in your 20s. Her recent single “Feels Like” is instantly catchy and gorgeously captures the feeling of freedom that comes with exploring a new city. Inspired by a spontaneous trip to see the Harry Styles-inspired movie, she accurately describes the euphoria and ethereal feelings of making memories with the people you love the most. She easily captures the excitement of new beginnings through lyrics like “Livin’ in a movie I’ve watched in, Funny ‘cause you couldn’t have called it.” The accompanying melody is riveting and enchanting, while it perfectly signifies teenage nostalgia and newfound independence as you’re growing up. You may even have heard the track blowing up on TikTok, where fans have been compiling montages of their favorite moments with their friends to the song.

Her latest single, “Rockland,” is to be released October 22nd, 2021, and I can’t wait to see what new stories she has in store.
