Flyover Festival 2023 To Take Place November 17 To 19 In Tulsa, OK

Flyover Festival (previously Promcore & Act Like You Know) will be taking place this November 17, 18, and 19 at the VFW Post 577. Flyover Festival is an annual punk and hardcore fest that is a benefit for Oklahomans For Equality.

Oklahomans For Equality seeks equal rights for LGBTQ+ individuals and families through intersectional advocacy, education, programs, alliances, and the operation of the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center. Serving LGBTQ+ Oklahomans and their allies since 1980, Oklahomans for Equality is home to a diverse, vibrant, and engaged community of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons, knowledgeable staff, and dedicated volunteers.

The festival has had a history of bringing in a variety of punk and hardcore bands, both new to the scene and others that are larger. It’s a diverse lineup too, with representation for many communities. Some bands that have played in past years include One Step Closer, Zulu, Purgatory, Crafter, Ballista, I Am, Time and Pressure, Kharma, End On End, En Love, Pickwick Commons, and many (many) others.

Overall, it is a wonderful festival to not only see some of your favorites but to be introduced to the new faces in the scene.

The full list of bands that are playing this year are A Mourning Star, Anklebiter, B.R.A.T., Bazookatooth, BIB, Candy Apple, Caustic, Cold Shoulder, Contention, Dayz Lost, Doubt It, Downward, En Love, End It, Enervate, Fading Signal, Free 4 All, Gagging Order, Gnaw, GUMM, Hold My Own, Initiate, Inside You, Jivebomb, Life Force, Livid, Morbid Visionz, Mouth For War, No Cure XXX, Pain Of Truth, Peace Test, Prevention, Primitive Rage, Public Opinion, Rabbit, Raw Breed, Restraining Order, Roman Candle, Sector, Sign Language, Sledge, Soledad, Sour, SPINE, Squint, The Runts, The Tooth, TIMEXHEIST, Urn, World I Hate, Wreckage, Your Spirit Dies.

Two of the headlining bands will be announced on August 1.

Most bands on this lineup have had releases in the past year or plan to release in the coming months before the festival.

Some recent releases that should be on your radar include To Live and Withstand by Anklebiter, Madison & Floral by Sign Language, Our Time by Wreckage, All Said and Done by Enervate, Cerebral Circus by Initiate, and Rezando Por La Muerte by Soledad. This is just the beginning of the list!
