Tate McRae came on stage with such fire, fueled by the screams of everyone in the room. She opened her show with “Stupid” (the song I found her from on TikTok) and the room went wild. The crowd was singing her lyrics back to her so loudly, sometimes I couldn’t even hear Tate’s voice over them. Tate had two background dancers and choreographers dance numbers to almost every single song. I knew I would be impressed by her talent at only 18 years old, but I was more impressed than I could have ever imagined.
Tate was one of the most entertaining artists I’ve seen live. She made sure to interact with the crowd, making the show a special and unique experience. She wished a girl happy birthday, took a pink cowboy and then sunglasses from the audience, and even held hands and sang to some individuals. Tate gave us background information on how some of the songs came to be and even sung an unreleased song from her debut album.
I will say, Tate seems to absolutely be crushing her first headline tour. If you’re thinking about buying a ticket, don’t hesitate! It is a show you will absolutely love.
