On Monday, September 27, 2021 the metal household name TOOL announced that they would be back on tour in 2022. The announcement comes after having to postpone their 2020 tour due to COVID-19. The 2020 tour was to promote their albumFear Inoculum, which was released back in August of 2019.
TOOL’s 2022 tour started in early January in Eugene, Oregon and will wrap in late May in Budapest, Hungary. On February 5, 2022, they visited the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisana. The North American leg of the tour features support from Blonde Redhead and The Acid Helps.
As many TOOL fans would expect, the production of this tour is packed with dark ominous and captivating visuals achieved by massive LED screens and an incredible light show.
TOOL’s 2022 tour is clearly a culmination of their very successful career, this isn’t the type of show you would expect to find by any other band in the metal scene.
