ACT LIKE YOU KNOW VOL. 1
Act Like You Know, previously called Promcore, is an annual punk and hardcore fest with all proceeds donated to Oklahomans For Equality. For The Punks went to Tulsa, Oklahoma in November 2022 to cover the Act Like You Know Festival at the VFW Post 577.
Oklahomans For Equality seeks equal rights for LGBTQ+ individuals and families through intersectional advocacy, education, programs, alliances, and the operation of the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center. Serving LGBTQ+ Oklahomans and their allies since 1980, Oklahomans for Equality is home to a diverse, vibrant, and engaged community of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons, knowledgeable staff, and dedicated volunteers.
AFTER SHOWS
On November 18 and 19, the Act Like You Know festival hosted after shows at the Mass Movement Community Arts space, a small all ages venue.
These two shows were a benefit for the Terry Williams Memorial College Fund.
On Friday the 18, Sledge, Mexican Coke, Skin Ticket, Dose, and Tell Lies performed.
On Saturday the 19, End On End, Hold My Own, Days Lost, Strangle You, and Raw Life will be played.
