Bea Miller Performs Free Concert For Students Of Longwood University

Bea Miller headed to Farmville, Virginia this past weekend on April 23, 2022 to play a free concert for students of Longwood University as a part of their Spring Weekend festivities.

The weather was perfect for an outdoor concert. Bea and her band did their pre-show “Cotton Eyed Joe” dance in preparation for their set (pictured below).

Once Bea came on stage, everyone instantly loved her. The students, the student workers, the staff, and everyone there was engulfed with entertainment and enthusiasm by Miller and her liveliness. Bea even stated that she loved how the student workers were dancing and hyping her up.

Bea being around college age herself, was able to provide a sense of relatability with all of the students in the crowd. Her song “Making Bad Decisions” mentions how she took a friend of hers out of the friend zone (just to put him right back), and a student in the crowd had felt called out.

Her setlist contained a handful of songs from her most recent release Elated!, as well as some of her classics, including her song with NOTD, “I Wanna Know”. Before playing her song “I Never Wanna Die” she announced, “this is the first song I wrote about a girl” and the crowd roared.

Bea’s hour long set felt like it went by in a flash since everyone was having such a great time. I think I speak for everyone in the crowd when I say that I hope she is able to do more live shows again soon. If Bea Miller is ever playing in a city near you, take your friends and you’ll have a night you won’t forget!
