Paradise Festival 2024

  • by
Briston Maroney’s 3rd annual Paradise Festival took over Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, TN on November 14-16th.

This was my first time attending Paradise and it definitely won’t be my last. As I entered the venue I was greeted by a table by Pleaser Magazine. You could get your photo taken, pick up a sticker, and write a note to your favorite artist on the lineup. After checking the table out, I headed to the merch table. There were exclusive Paradise designs as well as Briston’s usual merch. There was also a friendship bracelet making station that was perfect to spend time at between sets. Upstairs there was a flash tattoo table by Skout Smith, a photobooth, and a tarot card reader. I made sure to get there early each night to have time to explore everything before the show started. There was always plenty to do and see. The show started at 7pm each night with 3 different artists playing and then ending with a set from Briston.

Thursday, November 14th

Clover County opened the show with the most magical start to the night. She was followed by Krooked Kings. They put on a killer performance and I hope to catch them play another show soon. Gus Dapperton was after them and he definitely brought the energy and uniqueness in preparation for Briston’s set.

Hana Eid was the first set of the night. She serenaded the crowd and left them wanting more. Bnny was next and got the crowd moving and ready for Yoke Lore to take over. I had the chance to catch Yoke Lore after the show and grab a few portraits. His set was so much fun and if anyone there was not a fan before, they definitely became one after watching his performance. Briston then closed out the night with his second Paradise set.

Noah Pope started the final night of Paradise. His set was the perfect match for the night ahead. Sun June was up next and I loved every minute. I think The Moss put on the most fun set, they really saved the best for last. The energy and crowd involvement was high as they jumped into the crowd and had fans head-banging. Briston’s set each night was mostly the same but also felt so different. It was cool to experience the same songs in what felt like different ways. My favorite part was hearing his unreleased song “Real Good Swimmer” each night and watching the crowd’s reaction. It is such a good song and even better in a live show. All in all, Paradise festival is a great way to find artists you might not have heard of before, connect with others, and get to experience Briston Maroney’s live show all at once. It was such a great experience and I can’t wait to go back.
