The ‘Blame Canada’ tour made a stop in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 13th. On the bill were Set It Off, Simple Plan, and Sum 41.
Set It Off hit the stage explosively. “Killer In The Mirror” was the opening song, followed by “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing” and one of their newest songs “Skeleton”. The personal nostalgia hit me when Simple Plan came out. “I’d Do Anything” started their set off, followed by “Shut Up!” and “Jump.” The nostalgia of hearing “Addicted” and “Welcome to My Life” was fantastic. But of course, Simple Plan had to grace the crowd with their smashup of “All-Star,” “Sk8er Boi,” and “Mr. Brightside,” as well as playing “What’s New Scooby Doo.”
Sum 41 headlined and finished off the night just right. “Motivation,” “88,” and “Over My Head” were just in the beginning of their set. They also played the famous “In Too Deep” and “Fat Lip” and covered Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water,” White Stripe’s “Seven Nation Army,” and Queen’s “We Will Rock You.”
There are truly no words to describe such a phenomenal show and line-up. This one was truly for the books!
