The Highly Anticipated Newport Folk Festival Returns With A Spectacular Lineup The Weekend Of July 28 To 30

The historic Newport Folk Festival has returned again this year with an incredible line up including fast-growing artists such as Maggie Rogers, Caamp, The Backseat Lovers, and Noah Kahan. The festival will take place at Fort Adams State Park on the shores of Newport, Rhode Island the last weekend in July. With the festival’s unique rolling line-up release style, many more big names are likely to be added in the coming months.

Unfortunately, tickets for the highly anticipated event are already sold out, but if you don’t already have your ticket, you can visit the Newport Folk Festival site and join the waitlist for single day, two-day, or three day tickets. Newport truly looks out for its fans as no secondary resale tickets are allowed, meaning that any tickets that are resold will go directly to the waitlisted hopeful attendees.

Newport Folk Festival has been around since 1959 and has hosted many big names such as Jimmy Buffet, Johnny Cash, The Allman Brothers, and Bob Dylan. As such, festival attendees will be part of the makings of the next generation of music history. In addition to its legacy, the Newport Folk Festival has long been praised by performing artists and fans for its community generosity through the Artist Give program. Each act is allowed to request a grant from portions of the festival proceeds to go to a charity or foundation of their choice. As always, artists this year have selected some amazing organizations such as Maggie Rogers’, ‘We Are Moving The Needle’, a nonprofit that gives opportunities to women and non-binary people in the production and engineering aspects of the music industry. To see the full list of nonprofits and organizations and which one your favorite artist chose, you can visit the Newport Folk Festival Instagram or website. Also on the website are links to donate directly to the Newport Festivals Foundation, a program that sponsors opportunities in the music industry to artists, students, and music educators. If the line-up wasn’t enough to draw you in, the festival’s generosity surely will.

I cannot wait to attend the festival this year to catch some of the action and you should too! Other artists to look out for include Madison Cunningham, Gregory Alan Isakov, The Heavy Heavy, and Willi Carlisle!
