On May 8, AJR’s ‘OK Orchestra Tour’ with special guest GAYLE visited the PNC Pavilion in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I think that GAYLE was the perfect opener for this tour. With fans already familiar with her music from her hit “abcdefu” they were sure to be interested in hearing more from her. Her set consisted of 11 songs. She played all of the tracks from her a study of the human experience volume one EP, some singles, and even some unreleased songs that we can hopefully stream soon. She did a great job at talking to the crowd (which was huge by the way) and making jokes throughout the set. She even mentioned that she’s been to referred to as the “Dollar Tree Julia Michaels” which made the crowd laugh.
Overall, I think that GAYLE has a bright future ahead of her and it’s going to be so cool to watch her grow and be a part of her journey. I didn’t realize that she’s only 17! It is so awesome to see her sharing her message of being herself regardless of how others view her.
