Photo Gallery & Review: Indianapolis’ First Ever ‘All In Festival’

Indianapolis had the first ever All In Festival celebrating music from all generations. Although Saturday started out gloomy, it didn’t stop fans from grabbing their ponchos and making their way to see the opener of the day Samantha Fish. Multi-genre singer and guitar player kicked off the Indosphere Stage with a bang. Bringing huge Marilyn Monroe vibes with her killer outfit, she blew the stage away with her incredible vocal talents.

The first band to play the All Grandstage was The Driver Era, who were closing out their American tour before heading overseas. The sun beat down as the Ross brothers brought their incredible summer music to the stage. This was my first time seeing them and let me tell you, the energy they bring to the stage is so much fun. If you get a chance to see them, don’t miss out.

The first day brought out some insane names such as Portugal. The Man, Misterwives, and Hall & Oates. The amount of age ranges that attended this festival was so interesting to see. While younger fans lined the barricade for Portugal. The Man, the crowd filled quickly with an older generation when Hall & Oates came out playing all of their greatest hits. The night ended with a Dreamset honoring the Allman Brothers. A stage packed with ridiculously talented musicians played tons of songs that had such a staple in the music industry. This included previous members of the Allman Brothers themselves, family members of the original members of the Allman Brothers, and others that looked up to the band.

The second day started out the opposite of Saturday with bright and sunny skies that slowly turned into storm clouds throughout the day, but again, that didn’t stop fans from enjoying the many talented bands that filled the stages. One stage that I really enjoyed that they featured was the Indiana Stage that brought out local musicians near the entrance that set you right into the festival mood. Kicking off the day with Joshua Powell and J. Elliott, they rocked the stages and set the day into full speed ahead.

With multiple photo opportunities and yummy food all around, it was fun to get to bounce from stage to stage and see the multi talented humans all around. Day 2 didn’t disappoint with names either bringing out Dawes, Death Cab For Cutie, Cage the Elephant, and John Fogerty. The Dreamset for this day was Tom Petty. Again, filled with very talented musicians honoring the legendary Tom Petty himself.

Whether you’re into classic rock, pop punk, alternative, or folk, this festival brought it all. This may have been the first All In but I’m hoping for many more. Follow @AllInIndyFest for updates and to see what they have coming up next. Can’t wait for next year!
