Joywave and iDKHOW just finished up their co-headline month long ‘Welcome To Hellvetica Tour’ with Savannah Conley opening. The third to last show was in Raleigh, North Carolina at The Ritz on September 23.
Joywave’s set was full of bright colors and energy from the band. Daniel, Paul, Joey, Kevin, and Taylor hit the stage with matching outfits. They captivated the crowd for the full hour and had everyone dancing along. Even the fans in the balcony were jumping up and down. They played songs from their Cleanse album and of course the tracks “Tongues” and “Dangerous” too.
iDKHOW’s Dallon Weekes and Ryan Seaman with touring band member Anthony Purpura always put on an incredible show. After seeing them last in 2019, it was great to experience their set again. Special moments for me included the “Heaven Is a Place on Earth” cover, “Razzmatazz”, and “Kiss Goodnight”. Also, during “Nobody Likes the Opening Band,” Joywave’s vocalist Daniel came out for a fun rendition of the song.
