The Aussie alt-rock band Between You & Me released their comeback single, “Nevermind” on March 22 this year. It was the first single since their 2021 record Armageddon which was released under Hopeless Records. If you enjoy bands like State Champs, Neck Deep, Knuckle Puck, Real Friends, and The Story So Far, you are going to love Between You & Me.
“Nevermind” captures the California kinda vibe BYAM was searching for in this “sarcastic party rock” anthem. The song goes on to talk about how wanting to live the high life of Hollywood is played out. Instead of wanting a “cool whip” they just wanna keep the party going and have fun. The normal routine of life isn’t on their radar either. “Go to school and get underpaid” insinuating that normal life isn’t the vibe either.
The band’s sound is reminiscent of 2000s pop-punk while putting a modern alternative spin to it. Their music has such an infectious energy that a song like “Nevermind” will fit perfectly in their set list. This song nestles its way perfectly into their discography and will continue to provide the essence of the band in the future.
Between You & Me are no strangers to the stage. This Aussie group has played on stages across Australia, the US, Europe, and the UK. They just completed a successful United States tour with Knuckle Puck and Real Friends. View our photo coverage of their show in Austin, TX here.
