Starting off 2024 with a bang, Sammy Rae & The Friends brought CAMP: The Tour home to New Haven, Connecticut’s College Street Music Hall this past weekend. The venue was filled with friends, family, fans, and even music teachers who impacted the band when they were younger. The night started out with support from a local brass band, Funky Dawgz. The crowd loved their music and especially loved their cover of “Unwritten” halfway through the set.
Sammy Rae started the show wearing a shirt with the New Haven area code 203 on the back. The rest of the band joined her for their set and the energy immediately shifted. It was so clear that they have a connection to this community and it was amazing to see that show through in their performance. Throughout the night they played songs from their past EP’s while previewing their debut album coming out later this year. This incredible tour is continuing across the US over the next month and you don’t want to miss it!
