The Band CAMINO take on Charlotte, NC for Two Nights

What’s better than one night of performing? For The Band CAMINO, it is two nights of performing at The Fillmore in Charlotte, North Carolina. On August 3rd and 4th, both The Band Camino and openers Very Gently entertained a full house with such bold colors, talent, and above all, fun. The venue was filled with excited and anxious fans as they awaited the bands. It’s a shame that I could not attend the first night, only so I can experience two summer nights at a venue that I like and bands that gave it their all.

Very Gently gave both an upbeat and chill performance. Band members Joey Hendricks, Tristan Bushman, and Drew Erwin rocked it out on stage entertaining myself and the rest of the audience. After their set, I knew right away that I would be listening to them again.

The Band CAMINO’s performance was everything that I was not expecting: a chill yet animated set. They put everything they had into their second night in Charlotte. With songs like “Someone Who’s Trying,” “2/14,” and “Daphne Blue,” band members Jeffery Jordan, Spencer Stewart, and Garrison Burgess kept their fans on their toes by either jumping or dancing (or both).

Towards the end of the show, a lucky fan was invited on stage as part of the “cowbell challenge.” Beaming with joy and pride, and with assistance from sweet Jordan and Stewart, the little girl played her heart out on the cowbell.

Aside from their own music, the band performed a cover of Taylor Swift’s “Back to December.” I have heard so many covers of Taylor Swift songs at concerts and this was perhaps one of the most emotional and heartfelt versions I have ever heard. I wish that the cover was on Spotify, so I can listen to it on repeat and add it to one of my many playlists.

Both The Band CAMINO and Very Gently’s performances make me want to dance around my room like I am a teenager again, follow them on social media platforms, and add all of their songs to my playlists.
