Mt. Joy brought their tour to The Fillmore in Charlotte, NC on April 13 with Flipturn as their opener.
Flipturn’s sets are always so energetic and fun. The crowd seemed to be a mix of old and new fans, with everyone who came as a Mt. Joy fan leaving a Flipturn fan as well. The band played some crowd favorites such as “August” and “Chicago” and it was definitely a show to remember.
Once it was time for Mt. Joy to perform, the crowd got so excited. A lot of fans mentioned that they’ve seen them perform multiple times and a lot of friends met up at the show that had seen them together before. It was so nice to see such a dedicated crowd at the show. Mt. Joy played a variety of songs but it was especially nice to hear “I’m Your Wreck” and “Bugeyes” live and of course “Lemon Tree” and “Orange Blood,” which are singles off their new album Orange Blood releasing on June 17. Mt. Joy’s ‘Orange Blood Tour’ starts in June as well, it’s definitely a tour you don’t want to miss!
