The Anthem hosted yet another sold-out show on September 18th, 2024. Fletcher brought her “In Search Of The Antidote” tour to Washington, D.C. along with opener Maude Latour.
Maude Latour was a perfect fit to open for Fletcher’s show. She was lovely, bright, and energetic. For the Punks had the pleasure of taking a few pre-show photographs of Maude backstage at the venue (courtesy of Maude + team!). We got a sneak peek at her stage outfit and makeup before she headed to perform in front of her biggest crowd yet.
Maude brought her A-game and delivered amazing vocals. So many audience members were singing along with her. The audience also lit up the room with their phone flashlights during Maude’s set and it was a sight to see. I know Maude left The Anthem with an abundance of new fans.
Fletcher appeared next. As an introduction, some visuals were projected on the massive white sheet hanging on stage before dropping and revealing Fletcher.
Fletcher was full of life on stage and clearly ecstatic to perform in front of such a large crowd. Her fans were obviously very devoted to her and looking forward to the remainder of the evening.
Personally, I loved the visuals and stage direction that Fletcher and team put together for this tour. There were lots of blues and reds used and it highlighted Fletcher’s newest album well. Her outfit was also amazing!
Back in 2022, I photographed Fletcher for the first time. It’s amazing to see her growth as a musician as well as going from a 1,200 capacity venue to a sold-out 6,000 capacity venue. I had a great time capturing the evening and I know the audience went home full of joy!
