Gaadge Releases Sophomore Alt Rock Album ‘Yeah?’

Gaadge is an experimental rock project based in Pittsburgh, PA. The alternative rock group released their sophomore album ‘Yeah?’ on March 19th, 2021. ‘Yeah?’ is an evolution of their first album’s sound, and a collection of “anti-anthems for exhausted twenty-somethings”

Mitch Delong is the frontman and creator of Gaadge and adopts a sound that teeters on alternative rock and avant-garde. The instrumentals are dissonant and, at times, mathy. Lyrics that ramble and rant juxtapose shimmering lo-fi vocals.

I was curious about how the vocal distortion would translate to live experience, so I chimed in to Side B Fest hosted by Disposable America. At about 34 minutes into the fest Gaadge performed. Watch the whole show here.

In my opinion, Gaadge pulled off the live set well. I always say that if a band can’t be good in both live and streaming mediums, they’re not a band for me. I was genuinely pleased that the sound was consistent in both mediums. You can listen to the fully released album here.
