Twin XL, a Los Angeles alt-pop trio formed by Cameron Walker-Wright (vocals) and brothers Stephen Gomez (bass) and John Gomez (guitar), opened up for The Maine last week in Buffalo, New York at the Town Ballroom. Twin XL has been on ‘The Mirror’ tour with The Maine since October 21. Special guests This Wild Life, WhoHurtYou, and Nick Santino have joined on select dates as well.
Through their energy filled set, Twin XL played their hit songs “Good” and “Sunglasses.”
Twin XL also played their newest song “Messy,” which was released on November 1. Yesterday, they released a music video for this song. Cameron Walker-Wright told Billboard, in regards to the creation process of the video, “we wanted to play with the idea of trying to escape your problems through change of scenery, change of clothes, or change of social environment — only to realize that you can’t escape yourself … The only way to fix your problems is to face them.” Watch the video for “Messy” below.
Twin XL’s set was filled with nothing but infectious love and energy. During the performance of their song “Friends,” they made fans, and new fans, feel accepted and welcomed to ‘The Mirror’ tour. “All my friends, say hello for me faces, a million different places,” Twin XL and fans sang together to light up the Town Ballroom.
‘The Mirror’ tour is love, energy, and everything in between. Twin XL’s powerful pop anthems are the perfect compliment for The Maine’s beloved rock hits.
The Gomez brothers and Walker-Wright are adding a special touch to the pop music we all love not only with their recorded tracks but soul in their live performance.
