20 years after the release of their debut album, Bayside has just put their 9th record out into the world. To celebrate There Are Worse Things Than Being Alive, the band has embarked on a full US tour with the legendary Finch and Armor For Sleep, as well as rising stars Winona Fighter.
The tour filled the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida on April 10 almost instantly after doors opened. It’s always a good idea to get to the gig early for the opener, especially when that opener is about to completely blow the roof off the place right out of the gate.
Winona Fighter has been hard at work over the past few years releasing a steady stream of singles and touring their exhilarating stage show. With their extreme energy, spirited tunes, and charismatic banter, it won’t be long before they’re headlining these venues. Armor For Sleep is back and sounding spectacular after a lengthy hiatus. The band’s first new album in 15 years came out in 2022 and they’ve since been reconnecting with audiences and finding new fans. Finch got the crowd riled up and moshing, showcasing both their classic fan favorite tunes as well as their first new music in almost a decade.
Even after more than two decades of being a band, Bayside always looks like they’re having the time of their lives onstage. As they trekked through a massive 21 song setlist, they took their audience through a journey through time and their discography. Looking around, it was hard to find anyone in the packed theater who was not adorned in one of the band’s t-shirts. Some even proudly displayed tattoos of the band’s logo. Quite a few attendees had brought their kids along to experience the show, passing along the music that helped raise them to the next generation.
The There Are Worse Things Than Being Alive Tour is quickly approaching its halfway mark, so be sure to get those tickets while you still can!
