Sierra Ferrell Stops In Minneapolis On Her ‘Trail Of Flowers Tour’ On April 26

Rising folk artist, Sierra Ferrell, performed at a sold-out First Avenue in Minneapolis on April 26. This tour, titled the ‘Trail of Flowers Tour,’ follows the release of her spectacular new album of the same name. Well known for her theatrical and intricately detailed costumes and stage sets, Ferrell gave an incredible show to a room of adoring fans.

Opening up the evening was Cat Clyde, another great folk artist based out of Ontario. Best known for “Mama Said” off of her 2017 album, Ivory Castanets, Cat Clyde also recently released an album in February of last year that helped to cement her popularity. Since then, she has kept quite busy, making several trips across the continent and back and selling out rooms of her own. It was an absolute pleasure to watch her on stage and I will definitely be adding a few of her songs to my summer playlist.

Next up was Sierra Ferrell. I have been trying to catch a show of hers for a couple of years now, so you can imagine how I was ecstatic to watch her play at my home venue. Ferrell’s song, “In Dreams”, off of her 2021 album Long Time Coming recently blew up on social media, bringing in a new wave of fans. After watching her unbelievable set, I must say she is deserving of every last one. From the vocals to the instrumentals, every minute was perfect and I will absolutely go out of my way to see her again. There are still a bunch of dates left on the ‘Trail of Flowers Tour’ with a new leg coming in the fall, you cannot miss her!
