The Last Dinner Party Graces Minneapolis on April 4th

Up-and-coming British rock band, The Last Dinner Party, visited a sold-out First Avenue on April 4th as part of their 2024 North American Tour. Well-known for their theatrical stage presence, the six-piece band put on an incredible show to a room of adoring fans. This tour follows the release of their debut album, Prelude to Ecstasy, back in February. The twelve-track album features a unique mix of female-power anthems and classic ballads, with a quintessentially fantastical sound.

Opening up the evening was indie-electronic artist, Miss Grit. Based out of NYC, Miss Grit brings a distinctive and eccentric performance to the table with her solo stage presence and interesting visuals. Miss Grit released her debut album in February of last year and it’s worth a listen if you are a fan of artists like Tame Impala.

The energy of the room was ecstatic as fans adorned in full costume awaited the arrival of The Last Dinner Party on the famous First Avenue stage. Finally, after what felt like a long wait, the band paraded onto the stage and began their first song, “Burn Alive”. Though a fairly short set, fans of all ages had the time of their lives belting lyrics alongside lead singer Abigail Morris. The Last Dinner Party put on one of my favorite shows of the year and there are still quite a few dates left on the North American run. You absolutely cannot miss them!
