Wrapping up a successful headline tour, Winnetka Bowling League spent one of the last nights playing to a sold out crowd in Boston, Massachusetts. Back in May, they released their debut album Sha La La and were more than excited to play most of the album for fans every evening. To kick off this show at Sonia, Darryl Rahn came out with a guitar to amaze everyone with his voice. Akira Galaxy played shortly after and people were dancing from the front row all the way to the back of the venue.
Between set changes, retro TVs and an arcade candy machine were placed on the stage. This set the vibe for the rest of the night and created a really fun atmosphere for Winnetka Bowling League’s headline set. From start to finish, this Los Angeles based trio knows how to put on a show. It was a joy to see so many fans in the front row having a great time and seeing the band get to interact with them in an intimate setting. One special moment came near the end of the show when lead singer Matthew Koma performed an acoustic Chappell Roan cover. To finish off the night, they played their hit “Slow Dances” as bubble machines floated up hundreds of bubbles all around the venue.
Winnetka Bowling League’s headline tour might be over, but keep your eye out for them as direct support for Mother Mother this fall!
